Ok, so I've decided that good ol LJ would be a good place to put this.
I am ready to explode on a Scrubs rant, so here goes.
I like the new season. I think they did a great job, the lighting was awesome, and the jokes were funny. The only things I do not like were the overly cliche interns, Dr Maddox (thank god she's GONE), Cox/Kelso friendship, and JD/Elliot.
Interns: Yes, they were funny, but they were SO predictable and...I dunno. That just bugs me on a show like this. But I'll get to that later.
Dr Maddox: That woman just bugged me. Big time. No explaination here.
Cox/Kelso friendship: I always loved how they "hated" each other, and all that stuff. I do realise that being retired leaves its mark on Kelso's personaltiy, but really? Again, too predictable.
JD/Elliot: Ok, so here's where the ranting really starts. Let me just say this: I do like JD and Elliot as a couple. I think their personalities fit very well together, and if it weren't for my extreme love of JD/Cox (OTPFTW) I would probably ship them. But now, I think they were better off as close friends, like brother and sister almost. You know, able to like read each others minds, but aren't in love with each other. Maybe I'm alone on this, but I don't care. One of the things I always loved about Scrubs was how it balanced over the top characters with real plots and situations so well. Nothing was ever predictable, the comedy was well balanced out by drama at times, and it was so real that I now I kinda feel like they were-I don't know- selling out by putting them back together, yet again. Yes, the way they did it was FANTASTIC, it just gave me the heeble-jeebles inside when they did the hand-hold forehead-kiss thing. Maybe I'm spazzing over nothing.
Overall: Now, I'm not one of those people who loved seasons 1-3 and then hated all the rest. I, personally, have always loves the series, and yes, seasons 6 and 7 got a bit silly with the humour, but I still loved them. Season 5 was my favourite, just because of the whole My Lunch storyline. So now, i ♥ season 8. Yet I'm still worried for the show, and the ratings, and...Oh well.
I'm done =]
